Fareham, Hampshire, UK

Fareham is a thriving market town located between Portsmouth and Southampton.  Its history goes back to the Roman times and since the 12th century it has been a market centre.

Queen Elizabeth 1 is said to have visited Fareham and the Duke of Wellington and Lord Nelson had connections with the town. Hardly surprising, as since the 18th century it was an important location for Royal Navy shipyards.

Some of the South's finest Victorian and Georgian architecture can be found in Fareham's High Street.
